Rani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal and Instrumental Music. Before Mannkind Charity, she was on the Board of Directors of Operation Rainbow Canada that provides free reconstructive surgery and related health care for cleft lip and cleft palate deformities to impoverished children in developing countries.

In 2009, she co-founded Mannkind Charity with her husband, Dave, to empower children in developing countries. Rani maintains oversight over all of the charity’s projects and budgets. She is actively seeking to identify projects Mannkind Charity can undertake to assist more children in reaching their full potential. Rani enjoys playing the sitar, doing yoga, listening to music, and gardening.
