Families Supported Yearly
Families that come from villages struggle to find affordable accommodation while their children undergo cancer treatment in Trivandrum, located in the southern state of Kerala, India.
The Home Away From Home acts as a bridge between the hospital and home, where families of patients are encouraged to maintain their day-to-day activities while their children continue to be taken care of at nearby cancer centres. We provide a hygienic environment, accommodation for families, transportation back and forth from the hospital, a healthy diet, medical staff, and financial assistance to families. The facility is equipped with computers, toys, a library, and sports equipment for the children. The Home Away From Home Program also assists parents in developing skills and finding employment opportunities.
