Mannkind operates a 14-bed pediatric palliative care centre in New Delhi, India, which supports children with cancer and their families who cannot afford to go to a regular hospital for palliative care.

In addition to providing much-needed palliative medical care to children from impoverished backgrounds, the centre provides grief counselling to families, entertainment and activities for children, and all the other necessities. We cover all costs for the full-time doctor, three nurses, nursing aid, social worker, data manager, driver, medical supplies, food, and facility maintenance. The vision is to ensure children with cancer enjoy the highest attainable standard of health care – in accordance with Article 24 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
