Tamanawis Park Tree Planting
Trees Planted
Mannkind Charity, in conjunction with the City of Surrey’s parks, recreation and culture department, organized a community tree-planting event at Tamanawis Park on May 9, 2009.
We invited kids, parents and eco-enthusiasts to participate in this inaugural event. Participants were asked to bring a picnic blanket and a shovel, roll up their sleeves and get involved. They were rewarded with a picnic lunch, live music and more.
Over 700 mixed trees and shrubs were planted at this event.
